Before you start this process, unplug the negative battery cable for safety.
Loosen the air intake hose clamp near the throttle body.
Pry the air intake box located above the radiator as shown in the image.
Unplug the AIT sensor and the breather pipe located on the side of the air intake hose.
Remove the bolts that fasten the air filter housing to the core support.
Remove the air intake hose assembly.
This particular vehicle has a 2 piece fan shroud. It is not necessary to remove the lower part. Remove the three bolts that attach the shroud to the core support and the six screws that join the two halves together.
Remove the upper fan shroud.
Place a clean container under the vehicle and drain the coolant from the radiator by opening the drain valve.
Detach upper and lower radiator hoses.
Detach upper and lower transmission cooler lines.
Note: If your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil cooler it is necessary to detach those lines from the radiator, as well.
Remove the old radiator from the vehicle, and compare it to the new radiator prior to installation. Install the new radiator and the remaining components in the reverse order they were removed. Fill the cooling system with 50/50 mix antifreeze. Start the engine, keeping and eye on the temperature gauge. If the engine temperature starts racing above half, stop the engine, allow it to cool down, and add more antifreeze, if needed. Repeat this process until there is no more air in the system.
