Remove the fuel pump relay located in the fuse box under the hood to find out if the pump is not working due to a faulty relay or a bad fuel pump.
Using a test light, test for power and signal at the fuel pump relay terminals, if you are not getting any power check the fuses, if everything seems fine try switching one of the other relays in its place ( they have the same number ), if the relay is bad the Jeep should start once you swap the relay, if you hear the relay click but you can't hear the fuel pump the problem is a bad fuel pump and needs to be replaced.
Before you start this procedure make sure that you unplug the negative battery cable.
To gain access to the fuel tank filler hose, remove the screws that hold the left rear plastic inner fender as shown in the picture.

. Loosen the hose clamps and detach the fuel tank filler hoses from the gas tank and the filler neck.

Pry the fuel line retaining clip open located underneath the Jeep near the gas tank.
Detach the gas tank vent hose from the hard line that vents the fuel vapors back to the engine as shown in the image.
Unplug the fuel pump module electrical connector. It is necessary to slide the red safety clip out to be able to unplug the connector.

Place a floor jack with a flat adapter or a wooden block under the gas tank and loosen the nuts that hold the fuel tank straps in place.
