  - In this page you will learn how to install an AIRAID throttle body spacer ( POWERAID) in a Dodge RAM pick-up with a 8.0 L V-10 Engine.
- The part number is : 300-565
It was purchased at:  WWW.JLSPORTTRUCKS.COM
AIRAID is the leader in aftermarket throttle body spacer, they promise a gain of up to 12HP increase while improving your fuel mileage due to their helix bore design, this causes a spinning of the incoming air-charge as it passes through the throttle body.

This beneficial air charge carries all the way into the combustion chamber, producing a super-atomized mixture, which produces gains in mid-range power and overall efficiency.

Each POWERAID throttle body spacer comes with all the necessary hardware to complete its installation, making this item very easy to install.

Our personal opinion about this item is that it is well worth the investment, because the price is relatively cheap compared with the lifetime gains it produces for as long as it remains in the vehicle, you definitely feel the difference, and the fuel savings is something everybody needs at this time in our economy when the price of gas seems to go up almost every day.

  - Begin by detaching and removing the air hose that directs the air to the air filter box.

  - Undo the clips that keep the air filter housing in place and remove it from the vehicle.

   - Loosen and remove the four nuts that keep the back section of the air filter housing attached to the throttle body.

  - Loosen and remove the nuts that hold the throttle body in place, next proceed to remove the four studs.

  - Undo the throttle linkage, install the new throttle body spacer in between the throttle body and the intake manifold, make sure that you remove the old gasket and you install the new gaskets provided in the kit, including the four new longer than stock studs.

  - Tighten the throttle body and throttle body spacer combination with the new nuts and washers provided in the kit.

  - Remove the two front bolts that hold the throttle cable bracket in place, the rear bolt you can't remove all the way because the engine sits far back in the engine compartment, but AIRAID knows it and the third spacer slides in between the bolt and the manifold without removing it completely.

  - Install the three throttle cable bracket spacers, fasten the throttle linkage and make sure it operates freely, next tighten the bolts.

  - Finish installing the remaining components in the reverse order you took them off and enjoy your new found horsepower, smile every time you drive by the gas station and you see the other owners of trucks with V-10 engines that have to stop by at every gas station because of the low fuel mileage their stock engines produce, while you with a more efficient engine are able to skip the gas station with a smile and a healthier wallet.
