Mercedes Benz C-230 washer pump replacement

 In this page we will illustrate how to replace the windshield washer pump on a 2000 Mercedes Benz C-230 Sport, these steps will be similar for C class models built from 1995 to 2000.

 Unplug the washer pump electrical connector by depressing the plastic tab and pulling the connector away from the pump.

These particular washer pumps tend to leak near the bottom  when they are activated, see accumulation of washer fluid that leaked out on  image.




















 Using needle nose pliers slide the hose clamp away from the pump and detach the hose, if there is washer fluid in the reservoir place a clean pan under the car to catch it.



















 Gently pull the pump upward and remove it from the washer fluid tank.























 Compare the new pump with the old one to make sure it is the correct replacement, install the new pump by gently pressing it in, install the hose and slide the hose clamp back to its original location.

















 Add washer fluid and inspect for leaks, turn the key on and operate the washer pump, if it works properly and there aren't any leaks, fill the washer fluid reservoir and you are done.
