Ninja modified exhaust

 In this page we will illustrate how to modify the exhaust on a Ninja 500 motorcycle for a louder meaner sound, we have included a video at the end of the page to allow you to hear the sound after the modification was completed.

 Start by loosening the the exhaust clamp that fastens the silencer to the exhaust pipe.



















 Next, remove the mounting bolt and remove the silencer from the bike by sliding it away from the exhaust pipe.



















 Use a die grinder to cut the ends of the silencers off.


















 Remove the noise dampening fiber from both silencers ( aka mufflers ). Use the die grinder to smooth the edges so they are not sharp and pose a safety concern, install the silencers back on the bike.

























 This is the new look of the exhaust.
